Simon Mellor from the UK Shadow Seekers joined us for the first part of the show to talk about Cryptozoology with our special guests Richard Freeman returns fort he first show of 2013 As one of Britain’s few cryptozoologists, who study undiscovered animals, Richard has searched for them all. Mongolian death worms, giant crested serpents and man-like apes … A fan of Gothic rock music, he is the zoological director of the Centre for Fortean Zoology Author of many publications from Weird Devon released in 1999 with Jonathan Downes and Graham Inglis to his adventures in search of the Orang Pendek: Sumatra’s Forgotten Ape His also talks of his latest book entitled Hyaku-Monogatari: Tales of Japanese Horror Adam Davies – has been described as an «explorer», «adventurer», and «Cryptozoologist» but regardless of label, there can be no doubt that he has crossed some of the most inhospitable and unexplored parts of the world to bring back evidence of often legendary beasts. His adventures include being shot at in the Congo, arrested and interrogated by the Mongolian Army in the Gobi Desert and the filming of Norway’s Nessie — Selma. Adam works as a British Civil Servant and spends most of his spare time and all of his money searching for mysterious animals; a passion he would love to pursue full-time. His aim is always to find credible scientific evidence of the creatures he searches for and these quests and successes have made headlines around the world. www …
